St. James Parish schools use the program Quaver for their music curriculum. Quaver is an educational website that teaches students all about music in a fun, mobile way. Each child has an online student Quaver account connected to my teacher Quaver account. Through this account, students can access lessons taught in class, homework assignments, games, videos, songs, and dances.

Through Quaver, my class covers all aspects of music. We will learn a variety of musical composers from all over the world through all the different eras of music. Students will be able to identify and clap out simple and complex rhythms. Students will learn all about forms of a song, while dissecting one into its components parts. Through the program, students will also learn to sing and play a variety of instruments.
